Sunday see's another fantastic fund raising day for you and your dogs.
Of course its Sunday, so Derek is open for coffee, teas and soups at Seaton Sluice. For those of you who haven't been yet, just look for the black flags on the sea front. Derek has been working very hard to display SHAK info on a new trailer, and from the sound of it is well worth a visit to see.
Also on Sunday Hillheads Dog Club are having their 2010 funday. All proceeds from the day are being kindly donated to SHAK, and it sounds like a fantastic day. There are two sets of shows, one of which is supported by the Kennel Club.
The gates will open at 8:30am for the Kennel Club companion dog show registration. The show starts at 9am and is divided into eight classes:
1. Any variety Puppy (6 to 12 months)
2. Any variety Junior (6 to 18 months)
3. Any variety Hound or Terrier
4. Any variety Pastoral or Gundog
5. Any variety Working
6. Any variety Toy or Utility
7. Any variety Open
8. Any variety Veteran (7 years or over)
After all judging has been completed the Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show, and Best Puppy in Show will be chosen.
Rosettes go to the first three places in each class plus the Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show, and Best Puppy.
Then its the turn of the Fun Day Dog Show. Registration starts at Noon. The Fun show starts at 12:30 and is divided into eight classes:
1. Most Handsome Dog
2. Prettiest Bitch
3. Best Puppy (under 12 months)
4. Saddest Eyes
5. Waggiest Tail
6. Best Junior Handler (handlers under 16 years old)
7. Best Adult Handler
8. Dog the Judge would most like to take home
Rosettes go to the first six places in each class with a certificate for each winner.

Homemade Dog Treats and Recipes
Tombola and Raffle
Car Parking
A large car park is available for visitors. Access to the car park is via a road directly behind the newsagent by the Whitley Bay Ice Rink.
