Just when you think things are good the world of rescue has a way of kicking you where it hurts. This morning I had to rush Jack to the vets as he collapsed and could not get back up. He was clearly very distressed and was whimpering with every breath. X Rays appear to show that he is suffering from some spinal damage, possibly a slipped disc, although we won't know till further tests are done tomorrow to see the extent of the damage and if it can be treated. Jack has been very brave, and is tonight on medication at the vets to make him comfortable. Stay strong old fella, you have a new family here at SHAK that will do everything in their power to get you through this.
